Job Description At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of

development, integration, test and transition to production efforts
on complex electronic modules. Candidate will provide electrical
engineering support to a dynamic engineering development team,
leading first unit test, design verification test, integration and
transition to production tasks on complex digital circuit cards and
modules. The successful candidate must possess strong technical
aptitude, communication skills and ability to work
cross-functionally within the hardware organization and with other
engineering disciplines/functions. Must be able to exercise
discretion and independent judgment in technical areas.This
position may include the following activities:
Design of complex analog
circuitsDesign of point of load power supply circuitsAgile hardware
development, risk-reduction prototyping, and requirements-driven
design and verificationKnowledge of engineering development
processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and
testing to MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461State-of-the-art electrical
engineering design/analysis/sim toolsFamiliarity with design,
analysis and manufacturing standards associated with complex
multilayer rigid and rigid-flex CCAsStrong "hands-on" laboratory
experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processesWorking
experience with Interface standards including military/avionics
communication buses (i.e. RS-485, Mil-Std-1553B,
Ethernet)Lead/Mentor a team of junior engineersSupport test and
troubleshooting of systems, modules and sub-assemblies of digital
modules, working directly with program engineering personnel as
requiredInterface with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other
supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root
causeGenerate and implement improvements in product and test design
and methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve
throughputGenerate and review the technical content of test
procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports,
Engineering Change Orders, and other documentationInterface with
governmental customers and suppliers as requiredProvide training
and support to technicians and manufacturing personnel as
requiredSupport Root Cause and Corrective Action activitiesMentor
peers and more junior engineers in areas of expertise#IJSRequired
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or
equival
- Power Supply/Systems Design, Analog Circuit Design, Digital
Circuit Design Experience
- PSPICE or equivalent analog circuit simulation tool
experience
- Board Design Experience
- Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and PCB design
- RF circuit design
- Basic microwave Technology
- Proficient in circuit active and passive devices
- Eligible for DOD Security ClearancePreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Clearance HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Industrial temperature or better (automotive)
- Aircraft circuit card design
- CAD based schematic capture and simulation
- Able to direct layout and routing rules
- Post routing simulation
- Active DOD Security Clearance
- Demonstrated design success - meet difficult design
requirements
- Experience with the design, build, integration and/or test of
complex electronic systems.
- Able to research and apply electrical engineering principles
and theories to solve electrical engineering problems.
- Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to
effectively work in a team environment - Team Leader
- Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical
capability.
- Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and
lead others to closure - Own the Design
- Experience presenting technical information to program teams
and/or customers.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $109120 - $185460Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
