Specialist at South Shore Health assists in patient care throughout
nursing areas, providing direct and indirect support to licensed
personnel. This role involves the safe transport of patients via
wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and proper
documentation of services rendered. Additionally, the candidate
functions as an Observer for patients who require constant
observation to ensure their safety. General receptionist and
clerical duties are also performed to facilitate efficient
functioning of the nursing unit. The ideal candidate must

Description1. Patient CareThe Nursing Assistant - Patient Care
Specialist demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to
provide direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision
of licensed personnel.1.1 Observations and ReportingThe candidate
observes, obtains, and reports patient data and status to assigned
RNs.1.2 Responding to EmergenciesThey respond to changes in patient
acuity and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.2.
