• Employment Type: TravelJoin a high-risk Labor and Delivery (L&D) team at a busy hospital in Manchester, NH, with an annual delivery volume of approximately 2100 deliveries. This unit provides care to both low-risk and high-risk OB patients and is supported by a Level 3 NICU. The L&D unit works closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) for consultation, but the OBs manage patient care. There is no hospital-owned provider system-only family practice doctors and midwives provide coverage. This position requires the ability to circulate for C-sections and provide excellent care in a fast-paced environment. -Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in a high-risk L&D unit, supporting both vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
  • Circulate for C-sections and assist with other OB procedures as required.
  • Provide care for maternity and mother-baby patients in a Level 3 NICU setting.
  • Work closely with OB doctors and family practice providers to manage patient care.
  • Support newborn care in a NICU environment.
  • Ensure safe and effective patient care, adhering to hospital policies and clinical standards.Requirements:
    • Years of Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred; will consider candidates with 1-2 years of experience.
    • Traveler Experience: First-time travelers are not accepted.
    • Charge Experience: Previous charge nurse experience required.
    • Circulating Experience: Must have experience circulating for C-sections.
    • Unit Experience: Must have Labor and Delivery experience in a high-risk setting.
    • Certifications Required:
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • Advanced Fetal Monitoring
      • EMR Experience: Epic experience required.
      • Floating: Must be willing to float to Maternity/Mother-Baby as needed.
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required.
      • Call Requirement: No call required.
      • Locals Accepted: Locals within 50 miles will receive a $15 rate decrease.Additional Information:
        • Shift: 3x12, Night Shift (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week.
        • Orientation: 24-hour orientation, with one day for Healthstream unit assignments and 2 days on unit orientation.
        • Scrubs: Any color (not specified).
