Job Description:
PRINCIPAL DATA Modeler
As a Principal Data Modeler on the Data team, you'll get the lead
and collaborate across Fidelity teams in a fun and dynamic
environment to build Data modelling platform for Fidelity Digital
Asset. You will work closely with product teams, data engineering
teams, architecture, and business stakeholders to understand data
requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and
physical data models. Using AWS and/or on premises services, you'll
help design, implement Data model for Analytical, operation and
transaction platform. You will be responsible for the data modeling
efforts in support Crypto Trading and model the various domains and
entities in scope and enhance existing data models as the business
evolves
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/data science technical or
related experience
-Python knowledge is a plus
- Strong SQL knowledge and work experience with databases such as
Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Teradata
- Hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation,
performance tuning, and sandbox POC
- Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related
tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.
- Demonstrated, hands-on data modeling, ER diagram` and enterprise
software design experience for OLTP (relational) and analytical
systems
- Good knowledge of data modeling principles and standard
methodologies including a good understanding of semantic data
modeling concepts and multi-Fact model
- Ability to define data modelling standards and guidelines as well
help teams adopt complex large-scale & global data driven
implementations
- Strong experience in data modelling activities supporting history
handling time series data warehousing & data transformations
- Ability to assess the accuracy completeness and consistency of
data models as well as maintaining relevant documentation
- Experience with Alation, Collibra to drive data cataloging and
data lineage
- Strong understanding of data governance processes and metadata
repositories
- Experience of working with Data Governance team to identify and
capturing business and technical metadata associated with various
data entities
- Able to work on multiple projects/products simultaneously and
comfortable working with minimal specifications.--
